Why have a climate-themed demo jam you ask?!
Our goal is to:
Raise awareness on climate change
Get companies to think about how their product can help customers achieve their climate and ESG goals, decarbonize, and reduce their impact on the planet
Educate the sales team and pique their interest in climate literacy and climate action!

Demo Jam Submission Details
Total length of demo is 5 mins max
Submit link to recorded demo
Judging criteria:
Corporate climate/sustainability/ESG use case:
Use a fictitious company (describe what company does, size, etc)
Use case must be related to ESG reporting or decarbonization initiatives (ex. renewable energy procurement)
Use of climate data to illustrate use case (ex. Customer’s energy emissions make up over 50% of total emissions, client is looking for ways to reduce waste in manufacturing, etc)
Use of climate related data to demonstrate outcomes (ex. Help a customer reduce energy, save water, scope 3 emissions, etc)
Live demo - no screenshots, figma, etc
Use of storytelling and strong display of the art and craft of demo-ing
Must be functionality that is available to customers today (custom builds are ok)
Submission deadline: March 21, 2025
Top 3 submissions will have the opportunity to demo live at the Carbon Newbie Summit on April 23, 2025!
How to get started?!
1) Form a team if you can, the more the merrier!
2) Read a few ESG or sustainability reports from your top customers. Never seen a report? Here are a few: Salesforce, Meta, Allbirds Have an ESG team at your company - learn use cases and processes from them!

FAQ
Who can participate?
Demo can be built by a team from Solution Engineers, Solution Architects, to Engineers and Product
Demo should be delivered by one person
Judges can help build demo’s and be part of a team, but cannot deliver the demo
What kind of software/product qualifies?
We have traditional software products in mind, but if you want to submit a demo for a physical product, feel free to reach out to double check: hello@carbonnewbie.com
Can each company submit more than one demo?
Yes, but each demo needs to have a different use case and delivered by a different individual
I don’t live in SF - can I demo remotely at the summit?
Absolutely! Just make sure you’re ok with the time zone - the demo will likely be around 3:30pm to 4pm PST
Will the recorded demo submission be shown publicly?
No - at least not without the submitters prior permission.
